Scripture Motivation: How to Stay Motivated in Your Day-to-Day Life

on

Even the most positive of us can get bogged down and lose motivation. With so many day-to-day tasks to focus on it can be difficult to stay focused and to keep on track.

One of the more important ways to increase your motivation levels is by reading scripture. The Word provides us with daily motivation that keeps us nourished and helps us deepen our relationship with God.

If you’re interested in walking with God through scripture motivation, you’re in the right place. We’ve put together a few scriptures to give you motivation and to keep you moving forward even when the going gets tough.

Psalm 91:11

Psalm 91:11 provides us with the comfort of knowing that the Lord is looking out for us at all times. In this sweet verse, it says “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”

There are many angels that the bible mentions, such as Ramiel and Gabriel, as well as many others. No matter which angel God sends to look out for you, you can keep moving forward knowing that those above are watching over you and guarding everything that you do.

This verse is a great choice for anyone who feels anxious. Instead of battling with anxiety, know that God is guarding you in everything that you do and protecting you at all times.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Lamentations 3:22-23 encourages us by saying, “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

This verse is hugely comforting for two reasons. For one, it says that God’s mercies are new every morning. This can remind us that each day is a new day and a chance to begin again.

The second reason why this is such a wonderful verse for staying positive and motivated is that it talks about God’s unfailing and steadfast love. No matter what else may be topsy-turvy, we know that we can always count on God’s love.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Sometimes all we need to make it through the day is a reminder that we have no reason to be afraid. Deuteronomy tells us “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, or the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

If you’re feeling weak or as though you just want to give up, this verse can be a great reminder to keep moving forward. No matter how hard things may seem, we know that we have strength in God.

He makes us strong when we are weak. He guides us onward and he gives us the courage that we need to face even the most difficult of days.

Next time you stand up to present that presentation to the CEO, just know that God is right there beside you. He’s standing beside you and no matter how well or how poorly the presentation goes, he will continue to be there for you.

Romans 15:13

On days when you’re feeling totally hopeless, Romans 15:13 gives us a reminder that things will be okay. This verse says “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

When you feel down in the dumps, you can think of this prayer that Paul said to the Romans. It’s the same prayer that your fellow believers are praying over you and it’s a prayer that God hears and answers.

Remember, God has the power to give you the hope that you need. When you have peace and faith in him, God can guide you through difficult days and can stand beside you even when it seems like all hope is lost.

Isaiah 40:31

Have you ever had a day where you just feel so exhausted that it’s hard to muster the energy to keep moving forward? Days like this are a big motivation killer.

Luckily, God has our back even on days that seem to drag out. Isaiah tells us “But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

This encouragement is a reminder that God will renew you. When you lean on God, he will make you strong and give you the strength you need to face the day and to accomplish everything you need to.

Romans 8:28

As believers, we can count on knowing that God is by our side. Paul reminds us of this in Romans when he says “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

As a believer, you love him and have been called according to his purpose. God is working towards your good and he is working to help you prosper in what you set out to do.

When you’re feeling unmotivated, you can be reminded that God is working in the background. Even when we can’t see it, he’s there making you prosper and working for your good.

When The Going Gets Tough Look to Scripture Motivation

As believers, we have an abundance of scripture motivation to keep us going when we feel at our worst. By turning to God’s word, we can deepen our relationship with him in difficult times and can find the strength to face even the hardest of days.
